THE FIRST U15 GIRLS' CUP GOES TO ESKİŞEHİR METROPOLITAN SPORTS CLUB
Eskişehir Metropolitan Sports Club became the champion of the U15 Girls' Development League, which was organized for the first time in the region. Competing against seven teams, the blue-and-white side made history by becoming the league's first-ever champion.
Eskişehir Metropolitan Sports Club lifted the championship trophy in the U15 Girls' Development League. In the league, featuring female athletes born in 2011, 2012, and 2013, the blue-and-white team secured the top spot among seven competing teams through its outstanding performance throughout the season, earning a place in the history books.
In addition to Eskişehir Metropolitan Sports Club, the inaugural edition of the league featured Afyon Anadolu Gücü Sports Club, Kütahya Yeşilay Sports Club, Bozüyük Vitra Sports Club, Eskişehir Demir Sports Club, Eskişehir Çamlıca Sports Club, and Eskişehir Esentepe Sports Club. Demonstrating determination on the field, a disciplined style of play, and strong team spirit throughout the season, the athletes of Eskişehir Metropolitan Sports Club successfully claimed the title of the region's first U15 Girls' Development League champions.
Speaking at the trophy ceremony, Sadri Atam, President of the Eskişehir Amateur Sports Clubs Federation, said: "For the first time in Eskişehir, we organized the U15 Girls' League. I would like to thank all the participating teams. It was an exciting and highly competitive league. This championship was well deserved. I congratulate you, your club officials, and your coach. I would also like to thank your families for encouraging you to take up sports."
Hüdai Doğu, Vice President of Eskişehir Metropolitan Sports Club, stated: "As the athletes of the future, you have truly earned this championship by embracing the words of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye: 'I like athletes who are intelligent, agile, and moral.' Congratulations to all of you." The young champions also expressed their gratitude, saying: "We would like to sincerely thank our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Ayşe Ünlüce, for all the support she has provided to us."
Congratulating the athletes and coaching staff on their achievement, Mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Ayşe Ünlüce said: "This historic achievement by our young athletes has made us all proud. Becoming the first champions of a newly established competition is particularly meaningful. I wholeheartedly congratulate all our athletes, coaching staff, and families who demonstrated tremendous dedication, perseverance, and team spirit on the field. We will continue our efforts to increase girls' participation in sports and provide them with the support they deserve in Eskişehir."
