YOUNG PEOPLE CREATE, INNOVATE, AND PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE AT DİGEM
The Eskişehir Digital Youth Center (DİGEM), operating within the framework of the "Today's Youth, Future Professions" project implemented through the collaboration of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye, and Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, continues to prepare young people for the future of the digital world. Having become a hub for technology enthusiasts, the center stands out with its training programs, workshops, and modern working spaces.
Selim Öztop, Head of the Social Services Department of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, and Yıldıray Öncül, Director of the Vocational Training and Education Branch Office, visited the workshops held at DİGEM, which operates within the Haller Youth Center. During their visit, they closely examined the projects developed by young participants and received information about their work. The projects produced by the youth in the fields of software development, digital design, and application development received great appreciation.
Since its opening, DİGEM has attracted significant interest and has hosted numerous activities and workshops aimed at enhancing young people's digital skills. Designed to foster a generation that not only uses technology but also produces it, the center enables young people to develop collaborative projects, turn innovative ideas into reality, and gain the skills needed for the careers of the future.
Distinguished by its modern working environment and technical infrastructure, the center offers young people a productive space for both individual and team-based projects. In addition to providing access to on-site computers, the center also allows participants to work with their own devices. Furthermore, with the support of 3D printing technology, young people can create prototypes of their projects and turn their ideas into reality.
