COLLABORATIVE MEETING FOR THE KURTULUŞ INDOOR MARKET PROJECT
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality briefed the new board of the Chamber of Market Traders on the ongoing Kurtuluş Indoor Market project, which is rapidly under construction. At the meeting, where project details and the Indoor Market Management Regulation were discussed, a message of cooperation was emphasized to ensure that the market will begin service with a modern approach.
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality continues its work at full pace to complete the construction of the Kurtuluş Indoor Market, one of the city's landmark areas, while also carefully maintaining a consultation process with relevant professional chambers. Within this scope, İsmail Oğuz, the newly elected chair of the Eskişehir Fresh Vegetable, Fruit, Fishmongers and Market Traders Chamber, and board members met with Deputy Secretary General Attorney Nergiz Abacı, Head of the Real Estate and Expropriation Department Göksel Erol, and Head of the Public Works Department Korhan Acar at the Municipal Executive Board Hall.
TECHNICAL DETAILS AND PRESENTATION In the first part of the meeting, the Department of Public Works presented a comprehensive briefing on the current status, architectural design, and social facilities of the Kurtuluş Indoor Market project. The department also answered questions raised by the chamber's management and stated that the construction process is progressing in line with the planned schedule.
MODERN OPERATION AND REGULATIONS In the second part of the meeting, the Department of Real Estate and Expropriation exchanged views with the chamber's management on how the market will be operated and managed after its opening. The Indoor Market Management Regulation, prepared to ensure that the indoor market operates under a modern and hygienic management approach that prioritizes the comfort of both vendors and citizens, was also discussed.
TALKS TO CONTINUE Representatives from the Real Estate and Expropriation Department and Legal Counsel of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, together with the management of the Chamber of Market Traders, will intensify their meetings to finalize the regulations and align the demands of traders on common ground. The process, carried out with a collaborative working approach, aims to ensure that the Kurtuluş Indoor Market becomes an exemplary market area for Eskişehir, serving as a new attraction and living center with functions befitting the city.
