VIBRANT SCENES MARK THE 2026 ESKİŞEHİR ACCESSIBLE STREET FESTIVAL
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Social Services, Special Needs Branch Directorate organized the "2026 Eskişehir Year Accessible Street Festival," featuring vibrant events and strong turnout.
As part of the festival aimed at strengthening inclusive urban awareness and raising social consciousness, an awareness walk was held. The walk started from the Ulus Monument and followed the route of İsmet İnönü Street and Şair Fuzuli Street, ending at Adalar Porsuk Boulevard.
Mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Ayşe Ünlüce also joined the walk and accompanied the procession. Walking together with citizens, Ünlüce visited the stands set up in the festival area and met with individuals with special needs and their families.
Throughout the walk, citizens showed support for the event with applause, while Eskişehir Band added vibrancy to the festival with their performance.
Following the walk, promotional stands were set up in the event area in the Adalar district by municipal departments, non-governmental organizations, and various associations. Within the scope of the festival, workshops and various activities were also held.
At the festival, dance performances, folk dances, and poetry recitals featuring individuals with special needs also received great appreciation from the audience.
Officials from the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality stated that awareness-raising efforts will continue in line with the goal of building an inclusive and accessible city.
