A NEW PROGRAM FOR WOMEN LEADERS IN ESKIŞEHİR: “EMPOWERING WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP IN LOCAL GOVERNMENTS”

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, in cooperation with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation and the 1984 Association (D84), will organize a program on November 13-14 in Eskişehir aimed at strengthening the leadership roles of women in local governments.

According to the statement made by the Metropolitan Municipality, the program will be held on November 13-14, 2025 in Eskişehir. The program aims to address the challenges faced by women leaders working in local governments, enhance strategic capacity, and create joint advocacy platforms in the field of gender equality.

PROGRAM CONTENT

Participants will take part in two full days of face-to-face workshops on topics such as political communication, leadership, local equality policies, and poverty reduction. Additionally, the program will include online courses and mentoring sessions tailored to local needs.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Women who can apply to the program include: women mayors and deputy mayors who received their certificates of election in the March 31, 2024 Local Government Elections; women municipal council members; women administrators in local governments (such as deputy mayors, directors, chiefs, specialists, etc.); and provincial chairs of women's branches of political parties that have a parliamentary group and at least one woman member of parliament.

APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION

Participants must register by November 10, 2025. As part of the program, women will gather at the Social Library located in Kentpark.
