Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality organized the 4th "Children's Rights Festival" this year to mark World Children's Rights Day on 20 November. Attending the festival filled with vibrant activities and workshops, Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce met with the children and shared in their joy.
The Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Children's Rights Unit held the 4th Children's Rights Festival at the Haller Youth Center as part of World Children's Rights Day. The weekend festival welcomed many children aged between 3 and 15.
A total of seven stands were set up under the themes "Right to Shelter, Right to Life, Right to Education, Right to Identity, Right to Play and Have Fun, and Right to Nutrition." Each stand featured creative activities, hands-on practices, and interactive workshops enabling children to experience their rights in a tangible way. Children took active roles at the activity tables, learning while enjoying their time.
Visiting the festival, Mayor Ünlüce chatted with the children and reviewed the activities on site. Speaking at the event, she said, "Our children are our future. We will always stand by them so they know their rights and lead safe and happy lives. Eskişehir will continue to be a child-friendly city. I would like to thank all the parents for bringing their children to such a meaningful event."
A face-painting station was also set up at the venue, and children added joy to the festival with their colorful faces. The Haller Youth Center hosted an energetic and lively atmosphere throughout the event, which received great interest from families.
At the end of the festival, children and parents expressed their thanks to Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce and the staff of the Children's Rights Unit for organizing the event.
