Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters presented the press premiere of "The Crucible," one of the world classics written by American playwright Arthur Miller. After watching the performance, Metropolitan Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce said, "Art always rises from this city, from Eskişehir. We are grateful for your presence."
The performance, staged at the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Arts and Culture Palace (Opera House), was attended by Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce, who watched it together with art lovers. CHP Eskişehir MPs Jale Nur Süllü and İbrahim Arslan, Eskişehir Chamber of Industry President Celalettin Kesikbaş, City Theaters General Art Director Hakkı Kuş, numerous members of the press, and many art enthusiasts were also present.
Taking the stage after the performance to congratulate the cast, Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce emphasized that Eskişehir is a city intertwined with art, stating: "Eskişehir is a city full of art. We are proud of our City Theaters and Symphony Orchestra. But we are even more proud of you, our esteemed art lovers, because you never leave these halls empty. Art always rises from this city, from Eskişehir. We are so glad to have you."
Making an ambitious start to the new season, The Crucible is staged using the Turkish translation by Sabahattin Eyüboğlu and Vedat Günyol. The production is directed by renowned theater artist Murat Karasu, who has signed many successful projects as an actor and director at the State Theatre.
City Theaters will continue to bring Eskişehir's art lovers together with high-quality productions and a strong cast in the new season.
