METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY LAUNCHES INCLUSIVE EDUCATION INITIATIVE FOR ALL
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Continues Awareness-Boosting Training for Staff. Under the title "Creating Gender Equality-Sensitive Training Content," the training focused on the importance of gender equality and highlighted key points to be considered in practice.
Within this scope, the Equality Unit, affiliated with the Metropolitan Municipality's Department of Social Services, organized a special training program for instructors working within the municipality.
Participants were informed about the sensitivities to be observed in trainings for women, children, individuals with disabilities, and elderly citizens. Additionally, ways to use inclusive language, taking into account differences such as language, religion, race, and lifestyle, were shared.
The training was attended by instructors working in the Departments of Disaster Management, Fire Brigade, Climate Change and Zero Waste, Parks and Gardens, Human Resources and Training, Municipal Police, Mechanical Supply, Maintenance and Repair, as well as Social Services.
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality stated that with such trainings, the aim is to ensure that both municipal staff and services provided to citizens are delivered with a more equitable and inclusive approach.
