EUROPEAN AMBASSADORS MEET WITH YOUNG PEOPLE IN ESKIŞEHIR
The first Café Europa - Coffee & Talk meeting, organized in collaboration between the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Youth Center and the Eskişehir EU Information Center operating under the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce, was held with strong participation from young people. Supported by the European Union Delegation to Turkey, the event brought together Belgium's Ambassador to Turkey, Hendrik Van De Velde, with students from Eskişehir.
At the meeting moderated by ESOGÜ Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences faculty member Prof. Dr. Ali Onur Özçelik, the enthusiasm of young participants stood out. Ambassador Van De Velde addressed the students on topics including Belgium's vision for the European Union, perspectives on Turkey-EU relations, Erasmus and various exchange programs for young people, the experience of being young in Europe, and collaborations and opportunities between Belgian and Turkish youth. Students also had the opportunity to ask the ambassador questions directly about topics they were interested in.
As the program unfolds with great interest, the Café Europa - Coffee & Talk meetings will take place today and tomorrow. As part of the initiative, Poland's Ambassador to Türkiye, Maciej Lang, and France's Ambassador to Türkiye, Isabelle Dumont, are also scheduled to meet with young people from Eskişehir to share their experiences.
