This year, Eskişehir is proudly hosting the official launch of European Mobility Week, offering a variety of events aimed at promoting sustainable transportation and raising environmental awareness. The highlight of the week, a large-scale bicycle parade, will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 21, from Odunpazarı Square. The parade will emphasize eco-friendly mobility and the importance of sustainable urban transport. Adding a touch of charm and tradition, the "Fancy Women on Bikes" group--an annual fixture of the event--will once again join the parade, enhancing the colorful atmosphere.
Participants will gather at Odunpazarı Square and follow a scenic route through Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Avenue, Kızılcıklı Mahmut Pehlivan Street, İsmet İnönü 1 Avenue (Ulus Monument), Vali Ali Fuat Güven Street, and Atatürk Boulevard, eventually arriving at Velespit Park. After a short break, the group will continue pedaling along National Sovereignty Boulevard toward the final destination: Sazova Science, Art, and Culture Park.
At Sazova Park, the celebration will reach its peak with live stage performances, engaging activities, and the much-anticipated Green Match, marking the grand finale of the European Mobility Week festivities.
The Metropolitan Municipality, along with Odunpazarı and Tepebaşı Municipalities, has invited all residents to join the bicycle parade on Sunday, September 21 at 2:00 PM, gathering at Odunpazarı Square.
