The Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality's "Eskişehir Meets Cultural Heritage" events are continuing at full speed. As part of the event, women living in various neighborhoods of the city are visiting the Phrygian Valleys and learning about Eskişehir's historical and cultural heritage.
Finally, the women residing in the Ertuğrulgazi neighborhood were sent off to the Phrygian Valleys with the participation of Metropolitan Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce. Mayor Ünlüce accompanied the women to the Eskişehir exit. Ünlüce said, "We attach great importance to bringing our cultural heritage to the citizens living in every corner of our city. First, we must understand our own city, region, historical values, and culture. We will continue to increase such events that support the more active participation of our women in social life."
The trip, which began in the morning on buses, saw the women, accompanied by a guide, explore the highlights of the Phrygian Valley. They visited rock-carved temples, ancient ruins, and natural formations. The participants experienced the peaceful atmosphere and fresh air of the valley, making for an unforgettable day.
The women had the opportunity to see important cultural heritage sites such as the Gerdekkaya Tomb Monument, the Areyatis Monument, the Midas Monument, Yazılıkaya, and Kümbet Valley, and witnessed Eskişehir's rich history. The women stated that the visit was productive and thanked Mayor Ünlüce and his team for the event.
The Metropolitan Municipality stated that such social projects will continue to reach different segments of society and help citizens recognize the values of the city beyond.
