PARTICIPATIVE BUDGET VOTING BEGINS IN ESKİŞEHİR: 50 PROJECTS PRESENTED TO PUBLIC VOTE
The project application process for the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality's "Participatory Budget" program recently concluded. Fifty projects, selected after preliminary and technical evaluations, were put to a public vote starting today, Monday, July 28th.
The exciting process continues with the public vote in the "Participatory Budget" program, implemented by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality under the slogan "Eskişehir, united with one idea." A total of 269 projects applied for the program, which closed on July 6, 2025.
Following the preliminary evaluation and technical review processes conducted by the Metropolitan Municipality, 50 projects qualified for the public vote. Voting began today, Monday, July 28th.
Citizens can have a say in Eskişehir's future by voting on projects at bifikirle.eskisehir.bel.tr until 11:59 PM on Sunday, August 3rd. The 26 projects receiving the most votes out of 50 will be selected.
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce invited residents to vote for projects that will add value to the city, emphasizing the crucial importance of this initiative for strengthening participatory democracy.
