ATHLETES FROM ESKİŞEHİR RETURN WITH MEDALS FROM THE TÜRKİYE CHAMPIONSHIP
Athletes from Eskişehir achieved great success at the Special Athletes Sobe Sports Games Swimming Türkiye Championship held in Konya, bringing pride to the city.
The Special Athletes Sobe Sports Games Swimming Türkiye Championship held in Konya brought together special athletes from across Türkiye. The athletes from Eskişehir Metropolitan Sports Club who participated in this important event returned to Eskişehir with medals thanks to their achievements on the medal podium.
Gizem Koyunbakan, one of the athletes from Eskişehir Metropolitan Sports Club who competed in the championship, put on a remarkable performance, competing in seven different events. Koyunbakan won four gold medals, winning the 50-meter and 100-meter breaststroke, the 200-meter breaststroke, and the 200-meter backstroke. They also finished the championship with a total of seven medals, placing second in the 100-meter freestyle and third in the 100-meter backstroke and 200-meter freestyle, respectively.
Another successful athlete from the club, Muhammed Eyüp Karabacak, won the bronze medal by placing third in the 50-meter backstroke.
This remarkable achievement was met with joy by the athletes' families, coaches, and the Eskişehir sports community. Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality congratulated the athletes and their coaches who won the championship and announced that support for special athletes will continue to increase.
