MAY 19 BROUGHT JOY TO STREETS

The 106th anniversary of May 19, the date Atatürk initiated the War of Independence, was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Eskişehir this year. The events held throughout the day on the Adalar by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality with the slogan "The future will arrive with the youth" were the scene of magnificent moments.

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality spread the joy of the holiday to Eskişehir with the slogan “The future will arrive with the youth” with the magnificent events organized on May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, which Atatürk gifted to the youth. The events, which were also supported by Tepebaşı Municipality and Eskişehir City Council Youth Assembly, offered colorful moments to the people of Eskişehir.

Workshops, e-sports and sports areas, and stage shows were offered to Eskişehir residents at the stands opened within the scope of the “Sports Festival” that started in the Adalar area.

Colorful images emerged during the events that young people showed great interest in. Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce, who visited the stands, congratulated the young people on May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. Mayor Ünlüce, who was met with great interest during the visit and accompanied the young people in various games, especially table tennis, did not refuse the requests to take photos.

Mayor Ünlüce and journalist-author Ömür Sabuncuoğlu, who signed his book in the area, also came together and chatted.

The Red Bull Boat Challenge held on the Porsuk River provided enjoyable moments for the audience. The competitions, which featured colorful scenes, were one of the most interesting events of the day.

The festival, where enthusiasm reached its peak with music, stage, sports and dance shows, continued throughout the day.
