The “City Game: Treasure Hunt” event, organized in collaboration with Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Youth Center and Sakin Okul Association, met with young people at Kentpark this year as part of May 9 World Europe Day.
May 9 Europe Day in Eskişehir welcomed a colorful event with great interest from young people. The “City Game: Treasure Hunt” event, organized in collaboration with the Metropolitan Municipality Youth Center and the Sakin Okul Association, took young people on a fun and educational adventure at Kentpark.
Focusing on the fundamental values of the European Union; peace, cultural diversity and solidarity, the event had young people embark on a journey through time in stages focused on orienteering and code-solving, completing tasks themed around mythology, ecology, art and technology. Participants demonstrated their teamwork and analytical thinking skills by finding clues hidden in the park.
Thanks to the tasks integrated with the natural and cultural texture of Kentpark, young people had an active day and discovered the meaning of Europe Day in a fun way. The event, which was attended by 25 teams and more than 100 young people, also contributed to the young people gaining active citizenship awareness.
The young people thanked Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce for hosting such events and said that they had enjoyable moments.
Speaking about the organization that received full scores from the participants at the end of the event, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Youth Center officials stated that such activities that support young people to take a more active role in social and cultural life will continue to increase.
