SECOND PLACE IN THE WORLD ON THE 101ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE REPUBLIC

Eymen Sarıtaş, the national swimmer of Eskişehir Metropolitan Sports Club's Paralympic team, came second in the world at the ISF 2024 Gymnasiade World School Sports Summer Games in Manama, Bahrain. Sarıtaş brought great pride to Eskişehir and our country by taking the podium with our flag on the 101st anniversary of our Republic.

The ISF 2024 Gymnasiade World School Sports Summer Games, which is included in the International School Sports Federation's 2024 activity program, is being held in Manama, Bahrain.

3,687 athletes from 71 countries are participating in the World School Sports Summer Games organized in 26 branches between October 23-31, 2024. Athletes from Türkiye who are the champions of Türkiye in the school sports artistic gymnastics, athletics, badminton, wrestling, judo, archery, tennis, taekwondo, swimming and para swimming branches of the 2023-2024 academic years are taking part in the games.

Eymen Sarıtaş, the Paralympic national swimmer of Eskişehir Metropolitan Sports Club, who is a member of our Para swimming national team, won the medal in the championship.

Showing great success in the 50 m breaststroke, Sarıtaş came second in the world at the World School Sports Summer Games. Our successful athlete Sarıtaş, who reached the second place in the world in the 101st year of our Republic, and the technical team celebrated October 29th Republic Day with a medal. Congratulating Sarıtaş for his meaningful success, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce said, “We are proud once again with the success of our beloved Eymen on the 101st anniversary of our Republic. The Republic, which Great Leader Atatürk entrusted to young people, will continue to strengthen with these great achievements.
