“AN EXEMPLARY CITY, ESPECIALLY WITH ITS MUSEUMS”
Founding President of TRNC Famagusta Othello Inner Wheel Aid Association Yıldız Başman and the accompanying delegation visited Eskişehir Metropolitan Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce in her office.
During the visit the social responsibility projects of the association and cooperation opportunities between Eskişehir and TRNC were discussed.
Association President Yıldız Başman said, “Thank you for taking the time to receive us. We liked Eskişehir very much; it is an exemplary city especially with its museums. We are curious about your ideas on this subject. We want to open a needlepoint museum in Famagusta.” and stated that they would like to listen to Mayor Ünlüce's suggestions on this project.
Mayor Ünlüce, on the other hand, stated that they care about the projects carried out in order to preserve and promote cultural heritage, and talked about the Imren Erşen Oya Museum, Türkiye's first oya museum, and silkworm breeding projects they have implemented in Eskişehir. Stating that they would be pleased to share information about these projects, Ünlüce emphasized that they are ready to exchange information in areas of cooperation.
